Join us Saturday February 2, 2019 for a special sneak peek of this year’s Children’s Arts Festival! FREE fun will take place at Lansdowne Centre in the Atrium in-front of Toys R Us.

Vancouver LEGO Club will be hosting an interactive, hands-on “Build It” station. We will be conducting a fun “People’s Choice” winner at the end of the event.

Variety of community performances, including Richmond Youth Dance Company. Other acts are also being booked to perform and activate the event.

Artist, Sean Karemaker, will be creating a large group project. Those wanting to participate will have a hand in creating a Collaborative Comic Scroll, telling a story of the community members participating.

Public Art Mural

Over the course of the festival, Public Art will be bringing on an artist to facilitate a legacy installment for the festival, which will fill the hallways of the Arts Centre. The selected artist, Keely O’Brien will be leading workshops prior to the start of the festival, with one of these workshops taking place during the Launch at Lansdowne. Keely will be using print-making concepts to form the community’s vision in the mural, which will be installed at the Arts Centre late spring of this year.
